Starch and dextran can be present in sugarcane, which are caused by milling immature cane and bacterial contamination. Their presence can cause problems in the purification process, such as difficult scum separation, clogged filters, and poor crystal formation. Our enzyme formulations are designed specifically to break down starch and dextran, preventing issues during the production process.

We provide formulated enzymes for application in sugar mills and sugar refineries. Our products are Halal certified, suitable for food application, and free from allergens or GMOs, giving our customers confidence in their operations.

Amylase Enzymes

SUGAZYM METAA SERIES is an endo-amylase that hydrolyses randomly the glycosidic bonds in amylose and amylopectin. It is a liquid enzyme for the enzymatic liquefaction of starch and its hydrolysates. It operates optimally in a medium temperature range of 70 – 80°C. It is suitable for use in sugar refineries to reduce starch content without leaving residual in the products.

Z-9400 SERIES is a formulated enzyme used for sugarcane and sugar beet processing. It works by hydrolyzing the starch polymers into oligosaccharides and simple sugars. Using Z-9400 SERIES will help reduce viscosity, improve efficiency and sugar recovery. It is suitable for use in sugar mills when the cane being processed are young canes or contains high starch content.

Dextranase Enzymes

SUGAZYM DXL SERIES is a liquid dextranase enzyme used to hydrolyze dextran in sugar liquor. Dextran in sugar may cause increased viscosity and cause poor crystallization process. It operates optimally at a temperature of around 60oC. It is a cost effective option to eliminate dextran during the sugar process.

Z-9000 SERIES is a formulated enzyme used for sugarcane and sugar beet processing. It works by hydrolyzing the dextran polymers into oligosaccharides and simple sugars. Using Z-9000 SERIES will help reduce viscosity, improve efficiency and sugar recovery. It is suitable for use in sugar mills when the cane being processed are old canes, burnt canes, or when the cane contains high dextran content.
